Chief Accountant

Bielsko-Biala, Silesia

In our Polish operation, we are now looking for a Chief Financial Accountant. The main responsibility will be driving proper accounting process across two sites (Bielsko-Biala and Gliwice) and manage an accounting/finance team on each site.

Activities will include:

Keeping accounting and tax records according to company policy and legal requirements
Active communication with tax, customs and other other regulation authorities, provision of required documentations and statements, explanations
VAT and corporate income tax preparation
Preparation of annual budget and related forecasts
Preparation of monthly, quarterly or annual financial reports for the manufacturing site and ensuring highest accuracy of reporting
Working closely with the Financial Director and Plant Manager on improvements and savings
Supervision and management of site accounting teams and their development and guidance

Requirements:

University degree in Economics or Finance
Min. 5 years experience in similar position in finance or accounting in a bigger manufacturing company
Experience within an Automotive manufacturing environment advantageous
Knowledge and ability to interpret accounting and tax regulations
High level of accuracy and detail orientation
Excellent organisational skills, ability to manage team workload
Ability or previous experience in leading accounting/finance team and their professional development
Fluent Polish and English
