Plant Manager

The Adler Pelzer Group is the world's leading supplier of acoustic and thermal insulation for the automotive industry with more than 16,000 employees at over 110 production sites. We serve all the world's major automotive manufacturers as a system supplier and development partner.
For our production plant in Desio (MB), we are now looking for an experienced professional for the position of PLANT MANAGER.
Target of the Job:
The Plant Manager leads all daily operations in the plant and is responsible for meeting the business objectives in terms of safety, production output, quality and profitability.
It is essential that the plant is run according to regulations e.g. IATF 16949 and other legal or customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead all production and non-production departments at the plant by proper planning, organizing and driving through business targets and individual or team KPI's.
  • Advice, help and coach employees and run optimum day-to-day operations to meet or exceed customers’ expectations in terms of quality and quantity.
  • Continuously improve Plant efficiency through various workshops, events and motivating employees to improve standards, processes, productivity.
  • Be accountable for production output, product quality and shipping in due time.
  • Function as part of the Regional Operations Leadership Team to network and improve business through "lessons-learned" and knowledge transfer.
  • Look to right-size staff in plant according to project need and plant turnover/EBITDA.
  • Ensure all legal and safety requirements are met in the Plant.
  • Oversee and manage certification processes, such as IATF, ISO when needed.

Desired Profile:
  • University degree in technical (engineering) field.
  • Relevant experience in managing entire manufacturing site or significant production operations management within the Automotive industry.
  • Hands-on approach and ability to spend time helping people on the shopfloor - gemba management.
  • Experience in customer (Automotive OEM) negotiations at top levels.
  • Knowledge of Automotive standards and related norms and regulations
    Fluent Italian & English.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate, coach and advice.
  • Excellent communication and influential skills.
