Regional Controlling Manager - CEE (Industrial/Production Controlling)

The Adler Pelzer Group is a leading provider of acoustic and thermal insulation parts for the automotive industry. We supply every single car brand in the world and have around 100 manufacturing and engineering locations and 15 000 employees world-wide. 

For our corporate team, we are looking for a Regional Controlling Manager to oversee industrial/production plant controlling across multiple sites.

This person can be based in Poland or Czech Republic (preferably with driving distance to Pilsen, Czech Rep. or willing to regularly travel) with responsibility for production sites across Germany, CZ, SK, PL, RO. He/she will report to our regional CFO and COO.

Senior Controllers who have experience managing more than one site even within one country and wish to expand their experience into a wider geography can also be considered.

Please note: This person will be required to travel across the region regularly.

Short position description of position:

Responsible for driving proper Controlling reporting process within the region of Germany and Central & East Europe. Leads the controlling teams or plant controllers across all production sites and continuously looks for process improvement. Ensure alignment of plant activities with corporate strategy and targets. Manages the overview and works with plants managers or central corporate teams to show improvements and potential saving opportunities.

 

Tasks:

 

  • Supervises and coordinates controlling activities within BU in terms of financial results and reporting
  • Ensures that Financial guidelines are developed and deployed within sites of responsibility
  • Implements new process or methodology when/where needed
  • Supports recruitment of new controlling employees and their professional development & training
  • Prepares e.g. consolidated monthly financial reports by site/location to enable an overview about financial data
  • Directs and prepares financial analysis of e.g. operations results by comparing budget to actual results
  • Provides recommendations to e.g. plant management in order to improve business results
  • Prepares consolidations of budget data, actual data and forecast data
  • Works closely together with Central Controlling to ensure alignment with corporate rules or other corporate standards
  • Supports the COO where requested
  • Drives the elaboration of the annual financial budget process and prepares and participates in annual budget meetings

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Academic degree in finance, business economics or similar
  • Proven financial/controlling background experience
  • Experience in Industrial/Production/Operations controlling a must
  • Experience in Automotive sector
  • Knowledge of accounting, taxation is a needed skill
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of management experience, ideally across multiple sites and locations or a large business
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English is a must. Min. communicative German very strongly preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office products and SAP ERP business solutions
  • Knowledge of e.g. IFRS of advantage
  • Willingness to travel within CEE region approx 40%
  • Highly-reliable and trustworthy personality
