For our global headquarters in Hagen, we are looking for a German Tax Specialist. This role includes a lead responsibility for a total of 5 entities and tight cooperation with the Director of the Finance Department.

Please notice that we require the candidate to be present once a week in our headquarters office in Hagen.

Main Tasks:

• Preparation and review of income tax and turnover tax returns of various German companies
• Responsible for reviewing tax assessments and conducting legal appeals
• Support and handling of German tax audits
• Correspondence with tax authorities and external consultants
• Carrying out tax calculations within the framework of the annual financial statements
• Monitoring and evaluating relevant changes in national and international tax law
• Preparation and further development of internal guidelines
• Internal consulting on complex, individual tax issues and projects (e.g. restructuring)
• Collaboration in the further development of the tax risk management system

Profile:

• Completed studies in economics with a specialization in taxation, or alternatively a specialist further training course
• Several years of relevant professional experience
• Qualification as a tax consultant or comparable qualification
• Very good knowledge of German income tax law and good knowledge of turnover tax law as well as other types of taxes
• Experience in the use of SAP
• tax returns, e-balance sheet, SKR
• Proactive and self-reliant way of working as well as good communication skills
• Fluent in German and English language
